Concrete Driveways: FAQ, Part One

For 25 years and some change, we at Cesar’s Concrete have been providing Johnstown, Loveland, Fort Collins, Longmont, Greeley, Windsor and beyond with a variety of commercial and residential concrete projects. We are the Top Rated Northern Colorado concrete contractors of choice for a range of reasons, but it always comes back to the fact that we offer a unique blend of quality and value. Having one of those things without the other doesn’t do anyone much good, but we are a part of the community here, and because of that we treat our customers as we would want to be treated – fairly. When you blend our experience with our affordable costs, the end result is you being thrilled with the end result. Our concrete company wants you to be happy with the price, the result, and the durability of your concrete driveway (or another concrete project) for years to come.

Speaking of “other” concrete projects, we have a number of services which we’d briefly like to highlight before getting into the meat and potatoes of today’s post, Concrete Driveways Frequently Asked Questions.

Suffice it to say, if you are in need of a local concrete contractor who can handle any kind of residential or commercial job, give us a call.

For those of you interested in getting a stamped concrete driveway installed or perhaps just concrete driveway repair performed, keep reading, because we are about to answer a few of the most commonly asked questions!

How Long Do Concrete Driveways Last?

Typically, a well-done concrete driveway will last between 25 and 50 years. There are a few factors that go into this, including environment, how skilled (and careful) your contractor was, and, here’s where YOU need to pay attention, upkeep and maintenance by the caretaker or homeowner.

How Do I Maintain A Concrete Driveway

While the maintenance of a concrete driveway isn’t something that should cause stress, it’s still an important aspect in getting the most bang for your buck when it comes to driveway installation. You need to keep it both clean and sealed. To do the former, all you really need is a hose and a firm brush. Sealer might be a bit more complicated, as it needs to be applied annually. Here is Northern Colorado, time of year matters as to when you apply the sealer. We recommend doing it in the fall for best results.

How Much Does Getting A Concrete Driveway Cost?

Typically, most concrete installers will charge between $4 and $10 per square foot. Of course, each project is different, and your specific (free) quote from Cesar’s will depend on if you want stamped concrete or decorative colored concrete.
